The idea for this piece was to convey negative space, and have it be a part of the 'sculpture.' It's made of foam core.
This idea for this project was morph something natural to something man-made (or vise-versa). I carved it out of florist's foam, and then painted over it with acrylics. The boat is crooked, but I've never carved anything before, so I can live with it.
